[Women's Basketball] HU breezes past IU Kokomo by 16

HUNTINGTON, Ind. – Playing in the friendly confines of Platt Arena Saturday night, the HU women's basketball team took care of business by notching a 56-40 win over IU Kokomo (0-4). With this win, the Foresters improve to 2-2.Gabi Melby kick-started HU's offense by scoring nine of her team's first 11 points. The 5-4 point guard drained back-to-back threes to turn HU's only deficit of the day, a 2-0 difference, into a 6-2 advantage. There was no looking back after that as the hosts opened up a 17-4 lead that was never really challenged as it dipped to single digits just once after that.
